My name is Michelle Bickel. I have been teaching for about 30 years. This is my 29th year at Johnson Elementary. I have taught Kindergarten through 4th grade and I have to say 2nd grade is my favorite!! I have taught 2nd grade the majority of my career and looking forward to another great year!!
I have a Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Michigan in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree from Oakland University in Curriculum, Instruction and Leadership.
I am very excited to be your 2nd grade teacher this year!! My passion is teaching children and creating a fun, calming atmosphere that provides the best environment for student learning!! I love nature, biking, hiking, and reading! I also love to provide off-site learning experiences for my students as much as possible. So stay tuned for curriculum related field trips!
I look forward to meeting and getting to know all my new 2nd graders and beginning a year filled with fun learning experiences!
